지금은 PR시대. 오늘은 자기 회사를 영어로 소개하는 데 필요한 표현들을 익혀보자.
우선 어떤 회사인가? a top software company in Korea(한국 최고의 소프트웨어 회사), a highly profitable company(이익을 많이 내는 회사), one of the area’s biggest employers(그 지역에서 종업원 수가 가장 많은 회사), still a family-run company(아직 가족들이 경영하는 회사), a Pusan-based company(부산에 본사를 둔 회사), a loss-making company of car components(적자를 내는 자동차 부품회사).
직원수는? with a workforce of over 2,000(직원이 2000명이 넘는…), Over 2,000 people work for the firm, most of them in the production division(직원이 2000명이 넘는데 대부분 생산부문에 종사합니다), There’re about 500 people in publishing(출판분야 직원은 500명 정도됩니다), I’ve got 25 people directly under me(저의 직속 부하직원은 25명입니다), There are 70 people on our staff at this office(이곳 사무실에 근무하는 직원은 70명입니다), the entire staff(조직의 전직원수).
매출규모는? an annual turnover of $2 million(연간 매출액이 200만달러), Last year the company’s earnings were over $60 million. This was an increase of 15% over the previous year(작년에는 6000만달러의 수익을 냈는데 이는 전년 대비 15% 증가한 수치입니다), The annual revenues rose by 30%(회사의 수익은 전년 대비 30% 증가했다).
