I have an upset stomach
Jenny: What do you think about the place we had lunch today?
James: I wouldn`t say it was the greatest, but it wasn`t bad. Why do you ask?
Jenny: I am asking because I have an upset stomach.
James: Really? From the food we ate?
Jenny: Yeah, maybe the dish I ordered was spoiled….
James: Well, they had terrible service to begin with. And since their food made you sick, I am very upset!
Jenny: 오늘 점심 먹은 레스토랑 어떤 것 같아?
James: 뭐 최고는 아니었지만, 나쁘진 않았어. 왜 물어보는데?
Jenny: 배가 아파서 물어 보는 거야.
James: 정말? 아까 먹은 음식 때문에?
Jenny: 응, 내가 시킨 음식이 상했던 것 같아.
James: 서비스도 엉망이고, 음식마저 상했다니, 정말 화난다!
Upset이란 단어는 우리가 흔히 알고있는 ‘화난’ ‘뒤엎다’라는 뜻이 있지만 upset stomach 이라고 쓰이면 배탈이나 위통을 나타냅니다.
upset: 당황한, 화난
upset stomach: 배탈, 위통
